Throughout her career Lily Allen has promoted herself through several different signature styles, Below are a few:
Lily Allen's released her first mainstream single 'Smile' in July 2006 with the label Regal Recordings. The song went on to reach the top position in the UK Singles Chart. Her debut album 'Alright, Still' was released the same year and sold over 2.6 million copies. Lily Allen recieved nominations for The Grammy Awards, The BRIT Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Lily Allen appealed to her audience by creating a MySpace page and publicising her music which attracted thousands of listeners and subscribers to her page. She waould also alert her MySpace subscribers of any upcoming free shows she would have. She was given £25,000 by her recording company Regal Recordings for recording and promotion costs, However this wasn't enough money to advertise her music through different means of media such as billboards, magazines etc. She was an unknown artist and the record company didn't want to invest in her as they didn't think her music would be liked by many people.

She also approached radio stations such as Kiss fm and BBC Radio 1and various DJs with free singles to get them played on air, this then encouraged more fans as more people were beginning to hear her music. Her fanbase mainly consists of young people and Ska and Indie fans.
Lily Allen has since changed her professional name to Lily Rose Cooper and has created a fashion line of her own called Lucy in Disguise which has also helped to increase her fanbase. She is also a talk show host (Lily Allen and Friends).
Lily Allen promoted her second album 'Its not me Its you' all around the world. She appeared on GMTV in the UK where she performed 'The Fear', She also performed this song on Friday Night with Jonathon Ross and The Sunday Night Project.

She performed 'Not Fair' on UK TV show T4 and was interviewed about the album on The One Show. Allen performed songs off the album and old hits on Radio 1s Big Weekend and at the famous nightclub G-A-Y. She has also promoted the album with her tour and festivals around the world.
