Today we had our annual Media Showcase Evening where the post 16 students give a speech about the production and present it to an audience of peers, younger students, staff and parents. I gave a speech for my group explaining the binary opposition of the themes in my music video and the purpose for it. I recorded the showcase evening and think it is a good source of audience feedback.
I also produced and distributed some post video questionnaires which I asked the audience to fill out whilst watching the video. I collected the feedback at the end of the evening and compared the results to the pre video questionnaire in the form of quantitative data. Below are some pie charts and graphs which I will include in my evaluation.

Inspirational Video
I found the following video inspirational as it includes many detailed point of view shots which challenges the conventions of typical pop videos. I also liked the snorricam shots as again they aren't a traditional convention of this type of video. I also liked the natural ambient lighting which represented the purity and natural themes of the video. There were also many high and low angle shots which showed the interaction between the audience and the artists.

Stuart Hall
Below is a short power point presentation which I came across outlining Stuart Hall's decoding theory. I thought it related to my music video in many ways as the messages transmitted to the audience in my video is known as a negotiated reading as the audience are left to interpret the message in their own way based on their past experiences and their own background which also represents the free spirit of the hippies which we try to convey throughout the music video.

Music Video
Today my group and I finished editing our music video and I am glad that it is finally finished. Below is our finished music video...
Inspirational TV Advert
Below is an advert I recently saw on the television and I was instantly reminded of my music video as it represents the busy urban modern day setting which is represented in my own music video but it manages to represent it in a completely different way to the way I did in my own video. The crane shots of the multi coloured smoke clearly represent the emission due to vehicles and it points out the theme of modern day technology.
Inspirational Music Video
As I am also a Spanish student I regularly keep update myself on the Spanish current affairs and the Spanish media. Whilst I was browsing I came across a band called La Oreja de Van Gogh ( Van Gogh's Ear) and I really liked the layout of the music video to Dia Cero (Day Zero) as it just consists of several split screen transitions. It also reminded me of my own music video as it includes natural green scenery as well as musical instruments. I also noticed that the band have tried to challenge conventions of music videos by setting up their instruments and performing in a desert which reminds me of the wide shot of the artist sitting on an office chair in a field in my music video.

Finished Magazine Advert
I have finally finished my magazine advert, I decided to create two versions as one reflects the theme of nature and the rural idea of the music video whilst the other version focuses on the special effects of the photos of the artist due to the increasing technological advantages. Above are both of the magazine adverts, I haver tried to make them look as professional as possible by including all of the conventions of a magazine adverts as well as including close up shots and focusing on the artist which is associated with the pop genre.
